We have a new CEO

Monday 22nd January 2024

GAIN have appointed Rich Collins to the role of CEO. Rich’s background is in community sector leadership, strategy, and social policy. He has previously been a Chief Executive in a not for profit organisation, but also has significant experience in senior management within adult social care, children’s services, and heath.

Carol Hooper who is Chair of GAIN’s Board of Trustees said “We are delighted to have Rich join us at GAIN. His knowledge of the voluntary, community, and social sector will be invaluable to us, alongside his boundless enthusiasm to support people and improve outcomes. We are indebted to Caroline for her years of input and service, but we are really excited about the future, and how we can develop the charity further with Rich at the helm.”

Rich commented “I am beyond excited to join GAIN, and it’s been great to meet the team and get started. I’ll be bringing my passion for supporting people, my background in long term and neurological conditions, and my evidence ways of working to the role. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and being part of GAIN’s continuing journey. Most of all though, I’m excited to meet with and listen to people impacted by GBS, CIDP, and other conditions, so that we can learn from people with lived experience, and develop the charity to improve outcomes and make the most impact.”

Please join us in welcoming Rich to the team. We will be providing more information in the future about how we will be engaging with and involving everyone, but in the meantime if you’d like to speak to Rich or anyone else in the office then please get in touch through office@gaincharity.org.uk or ring 01529 469910.
